I’m currently sewing blocks for Amy Friend’s Tell Me a Story Block Swap – Holiday Edition.
Amy’s Tell Me A Story block is featured in her book Intentional Piecing. She has organized multiple rounds of Tell Me a Story block swaps. I’ve participated in multiple rounds, and I have a stack of blocks from quilters around the world. Of course, that stack of blocks is sitting there and hasn’t been sewn into a quilt top – yet.
Amy organized a meetup at Quiltcon in Nashville in February. She showed off her Tell Me A Story quilt, and everyone traded blocks.
My friend Diane Wespiser who is in the Northampton Modern Quilt Guild made this block especially for me.
When I recently noticed that Amy was organizing a Tell Me A Story Holiday Edition, of course, I joined in. Not just for one round, but two rounds.
I’ve already received two blocks from one of the swap participants – Amanda Garcia.
I already had holiday fabric, but I needed (wanted) more, so I picked up some fat quarters last weekend at Valley Fabrics in Northampton.
I have 18 blocks to make. Here are my first two. I’ll be doing a lot more sewing this weekend and making more blocks.
