If they continue to stand their ground, they&#039;ll go the way of the dinosaurs.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Frankly, I&#039;m amazed that a Napster/PirateBay-like competitor hasn&#039;t already eaten them alive. We wrote our first book for a major publisher almost fifteen years ago. Negotiating for the electronic rights at the time was a no-brainer. We made far more in electronic distribution (starting with floppy disks if you can imagine), than they did in book sales. When we wrote our latest book, it was like pulling teeth to get the publisher to even allow us to distribute review copies electronically. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Can you spell mass extinction?</description>
